CUs urged to report fin-ed youth activities to NYIB

MADISON, Wis. (5/25/07)--Credit unions are being urged to report their classroom and other education presentations to the National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB).

Reporting the presentations is important for credit union leaders across the country, including the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), state trade associations, and the NYIB, because the leaders use the statistics when lobbying Congress and state legislators, according to NYIB Chairman John Faries.

The data helps illustrate the credit union difference to lawmakers, he said.

The presentation reporting deadline is June 30.
