CUANM’s Isaacs elected to NYIB committee
At the August 3, 2007 National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB) Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, delegates from 33 states re-elected three regional coordinators and the chairman of the NYIB Executive Committee.
The seven-member group will reconvene September 14-16 for its annual planning session.
Leading the NYIB for the second consecutive year is Chairman John Faries, vice president of accounting and marketing at Space Age Federal Credit Union (Aurora, CO). Cathy Brorson, marketing specialist at Kitsap Credit Union (Bremerton, WA), officially completed her one-year term as chairman emeritus.
Continuing in the second year of their terms are: South West Regional Coordinator Rebecca Isaacs, business development director at the Credit Union Association of New Mexico; South Central Regional Coordinator Kathy Crim, CUDE, director of education at Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (Lake Jackson, TX); and South East Regional Coordinator Brandon Pugh, director of communications and public relations at the South Carolina Credit Union League (Columbia, SC).
Isaacs is CUANM’s business development director.
Delegates also confirmed elections of three NYIB Regional Coordinators to two-year terms: North West Regional Coordinator Karen Smith, director of financial education with Montana Credit Unions for Community Development (Helena, MT); North Central Regional Coordinator Pamela Swope, CUDE, marketing manager at FinancialEdge Community Credit Union (Bay City, MI); and North East Regional Coordinator Mary Ann Demczak, CUDE, Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) at Clearview Federal Credit Union (Moon Township, PA).
In the reorganization meeting that followed the business session, the executive committee elected the following officers: Vice Chairman – Pugh; Secretary – Dunn; Treasurer – Demczak; and Media Manager – Isaacs.
