Eligible members of Kirtland Federal Credit Union

KAFB Military Personnel
Active duty military personnel stationed at or on temporary assignment at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB).

Retired Military and Others Receiving Benefits from KAFB
Persons who are eligible by law or regulation to receive or are receiving benefits or services from KAFB. (Examples would include retired military and dependents or dependent survivors of retired military personnel. Simple test: If they have base commissary and BX privileges, they are in our FOM.)

Base Contractors
Employees of firms under contract with KAFB entities including Sandia Labs, DOE,
Philips Labs, AFOTEC, etc. (However, the employees of Sandia Labs & DOE are not
eligible for membership in our credit union because they have their own.)

Civil Service
All civilian employees who work on KAFB with the exception of the direct employees of
Sandia Labs and DOE.

Retired Civil Service
Persons retired as annuitants from the US Government (does not have to be from KAFB)
or the NM National Guard.

National Guard and Reserve Units
Civilian and military personnel of the NM Air National Guard, the NM Army National Guard and the reserve units of the US Armed Forces stationed in NM.

KFCU Employees
Employees of Kirtland Federal Credit Union.

Family Members
Immediate family members of individuals qualifying for membership as outlined above. That is to say, immediate family members of anyone otherwise in our field of membership (FOM) even if they have not elected to join KFCU. Immediate family members include
grandparents, grandparents in-law, parents, parents in-law, sisters, sisters in-law, brothers, brothers in-law, daughters, daughters in-law, sons, sons in-law, grandchildren, any relative living under the same roof, the spouse of a person who died while in our FOM.
